About the Role
Sensys Gatso Group, a pioneer in traffic enforcement technology, is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Team Lead to join its Puls team in Amsterdam. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on public safety and urban mobility worldwide.

In this role, you will guide and lead a team of engineers to design and implement innovative features that meet customer specifications while ensuring the software remains robust, scalable, and maintainable. You will oversee the adoption of cloud-native architectures to create high-performance systems and drive the adoption of Golang for developing microservices and cloud solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the software meets the needs of a global user base by integrating IoT technologies across diverse environments.

A critical aspect of your role will be to lead the transition of our application stack into a microservices-based architecture optimized for IoT, enabling scalability, enhanced performance, and a broader global impact. You will be responsible for mentoring your team members, ensuring they adhere to best practices in the delivery of these features, and driving technical excellence throughout the development process.

This position demands flexibility, including a minimum three-day in-office work week, and occasional collaboration with other teams. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects that enhance safety and operational efficiency in cities worldwide.

Responsibilities
- Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team: Guide a team of 3 to 4 Golang engineers and 1 QA Engineer, guiding their technical and professional development, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Hands-On Development and Technical Leadership: Contribute actively to the team's technical work, dedicating time to hands-on development, writing clean code, reviewing pull requests, and guiding the team through technical challenges.Introduce and Uphold Excellent Golang Practices: Drive excellence in Golang development within the team, introducing and enforcing best practices, patterns, and frameworks for building scalable systems.Team Planning and Roadmap Management: Collaborate with the Product Owner and Domain Architect to prioritize development work, lead sprint planning, and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of high-quality projects.Mentorship and Performance Management: Mentor team members, help them grow technically and professionally, and manage individual performance to foster a culture of continuous improvement.Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams, product management, and stakeholders to align team work with business objectives and facilitate communication across teams.Ensure System Stability: Help lead the implementation of robust testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and quality assurance processes to ensure system stability and reliability.
