We are seeking a highly skilled Data Steward to join our team at Sigmaways Inc. as part of our efforts to establish and maintain high-quality data products that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data management processes using SQL, focusing on data quality, access management, and data governance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data product discoverability, documentation, and process improvement.
- Support data engineering processes and advocate for the data mesh, including data product setup.
- Analyze complex data sets, address data-related issues, and work detail-oriented to interpret data insights.
- Present data quality and governance insights to stakeholders, utilizing presentation tools like Miro and dashboards.
Requirements
- Experience in data management using SQL, preferably with dbt, and data visualization tools like Looker Studio or PowerBI.
- General analytical problem-solving skills and ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Understanding of data structures, databases, and data warehousing concepts.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and industry best practices.
- Cloud environment experience, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
