FP&A Analyst Job Description

As a key business partner, you'll provide key financial support for the European business. You'll be highly analytical, with the ability to synthesize data and make sound business recommendations across business units. You must be a collaborative problem-solver, who not only understands the numbers, but also the broader business context around them. To be successful, you must be able to communicate effectively across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

- Support long-term planning processes through analysis and development of financial models.
- Engage in regular financial planning processes, such as annual operating planning, quarterly forecasts, and monthly outlooks
- Perform monthly, quarterly and annual variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and forecast, providing key insight into the key drivers of performance.
- Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards for management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
- Assist in the development of strategic plans and initiatives by providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Analyze operational performance and across the channels and supporting functions identifying opportunities for cost reductions and efficiency improvements.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decisions and projects.
- Collaborate closely with business units to gather necessary information and ensure alignment with overall regional goals.
- Support the management of opex and capex across functions.
- Own various analyses and presentations as needed for management.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, mathematics, analytics, or related field
- At least 2-4 years of finance experience in FP&A or Operational Finance function, analytics, demand and/or sales forecasting
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with fast growing, global consumer goods companies
- SAP, Tableau or BI (or equivalent system) experience a plus
