Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Forensic Specialist to join our team at Europol. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing advanced digital forensic services, supporting prioritized international investigations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, preserve, analyze, and present digital forensic information in cases related to cybercrime, serious organized crime, and terrorism.
  • Extract data from computers, servers, cloud environments, networks, and provide support in-house at Europol HQ and on-the-spot during action days in EU MS and third countries.
  • Research and develop new data extraction methods/tools to support prioritized international investigations.
Requirements
  • Experience in digital forensics and specifically in network forensics and live forensics is essential.
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux and Windows OS internals, programming skills in Python and/or C language, and sound knowledge of network protocols and reverse engineering techniques are required.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise documents on complex matters for various audiences.
