Continuous Improvement and Automation Lead

The Continuous Improvement and Automation Lead plays a pivotal role in driving digital and lean capabilities across GFO services, processes, and systems. This involves ongoing efforts to improve GFO services, processes, and systems through continuous improvement methods and supporting the Global Process Owners in selecting the right tools and implementing them. The role works closely with the GFO director, Global Process Owners, and Service Management support, while also fulfilling a coaching role in continuous improvement and change within the GFO organization.
Key responsibilities:- Be a subject matter expert in O2C-related processes and systems, improving quality in service delivery to stakeholders across the JET organization through continuous process improvement techniques.
- Perform root cause analysis on service delivery issues and present analysis recommendations to the management team by applying the ESSAR method, consistently driving the simplification, standardization, and automation agenda.
- Be an advocate of excellent governance, compliance, and continuous improvement in finance operational performance, coaching and implementing this way of working and thinking, and supporting the GPO with change management.
- Enable and optimize system configuration and processes to aid compliance to effective controls, efficient operations, and effective outcomes supporting finance KPIs, continuously improving process performance with system and process revisions.
- Drive process, technology, and robotics innovation by supporting teams in day-to-day operations, including training and coaching staff, on-site support, development, and maintenance of process and user guides.
- Manage the roadmap and assessment of potential improvement issues and prioritize improvement opportunities in line with the governance process and in conjunction with Global Process Owners for O2C processes in scope.
- Support the development and maintenance of a formal service management system to support end users and suppliers, driving down support query volumes through targeted training, communications, and self-serve solutions.
- Train users and agree on training and knowledge transfer strategy with GPO, with budget support and HR's learning and development team.
- Support the Global Process Owners in strategy implementation, delivering on business requirements of all systems and process-related change, including business integration and deployment of Workday releases.
- Coordinate communication on GFO service challenges, actions, improvement initiatives, and outcomes to stakeholders with the GFO director and/or GPOs.
- Stay up-to-date with technology advancements in the finance systems market and proactively bring new ideas and feasibility assessments relating to continuous development and process improvements, including robotics improvement initiatives, with process champions.
- Travel may be required depending on the location of key stakeholders, process owners, and SMEs.
- Possess a deep understanding of finance processes, including ERP systems and data-driven thinking, specifically thinking in end-to-end and structured approaches.
- Experience in a Continuous Improvement and/or automation role, with the ability to design efficient processes and deliver ongoing improvements, balancing conceptual and pragmatic thinking.
- Excellent knowledge of continuous improvement techniques, such as Lean and Six Sigma, and strong planning and organizing skills for self, projects, and colleagues.
- Experience achieving results in an international environment, with an appreciation of differences in culture and legal frameworks.
- Relevant and recent knowledge on robotics and tooling.
- Strong personal drive to pursue and create an atmosphere of continual improvement, utilizing formal and informal networks.
- Ability to constructively challenge assumptions and thinking, influencing and handling objections with stakeholders and colleagues, and resolving conflicts.
- Strong communication skills, creating trust in a multicultural environment, all levels of the organization, and change management experience.
- Presentation and communication of information, including reporting and analysis on KPIs associated with global finance operations.
- Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written.
- A 'can-do' attitude, self-starter, and motivator who can act on their own initiative for problem-solving and ideas generation, analytical, forward-thinking, and a team player.
