About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Second Mate to join our dredging operations team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our dredging equipment and vessels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the First Mate in the navigation and operation of the dredging vessel
  • Monitor and maintain the dredging equipment and vessels to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Contribute to the performance of operational activities and the optimization of production
  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment on board
  • Update navigation charts and books
  • Communicate with project managers, site superintendents, surveyors, and local authorities
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in nautical sciences or a related field
  • COO (Certificate of Competency) in accordance with the international convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers 1995
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Valid Passport, Seaman's Book, and Seafarers Medical
  • Strong awareness of Health, Safety, and Environment
  • Hands-on and no-nonsense mentality
  • Basic experience in dredging operations (preferable)
