Job Description:

CureVac Netherlands B.V. is seeking a skilled Scientist to support our Oncology Antigen Discovery and Computational Research team in Amsterdam. As a key member of the Antigen Discovery and Validation department, you will contribute to developing and improving our antigen discovery pipelines.

About the Role:
The primary goal of the Discovery team is to leverage multi-omics data from internal and external sources to identify and prioritize antigens for cancer vaccines. You will be responsible for continuously improving pipeline modules by integrating newly acquired data and novel methodology. Additionally, you will stay up-to-date with state-of-the-art computational methodology and cancer immunology. Closely collaborating with the software development team, you will ensure our algorithms are compliant and robust for clinical application, maintaining high standards of code quality through regular code review.

Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and improvement of antigen discovery pipelines
- Integrate newly acquired data and novel methodology into pipeline modules
- Stay up-to-date with state-of-the-art computational methodology and cancer immunology
- Collaborate with the software development team to ensure algorithm compliance and robustness for clinical application
- Maintain high standards of code quality through regular code review

Requirements:
- PhD in a computational field (e.g., computational immunology, systems biology, bioinformatics, genomics, or similar)
- Proven track record of building bioinformatics methodology and/or data analysis workflows
- Experience in Linux and preferably cloud computing environments
- Well-versed in Python and potentially R
- Demonstrated experience with good programming practices, including code review, version control, unit testing, containerization, and continuous integration/continuous deployment
- Prior industry experience is desirable
