About the Role

TenneT is a leading player in the energy transition, and we're looking for a skilled Operational Engineer - Control & Automation to join our team at Arnhem Rijnpoort. As a key member of our team, you'll contribute to the development of control & automation concepts and processes, ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective management of operations and maintenance of our Grid Connection Systems.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement control & automation concepts and processes to prepare for the operational phase of our Grid Connection Systems.
  • Ensure operational requirements are taken into account and safeguard the long-term availability and technical integrity of our facilities.
  • Maintain asset data and documentation to enable safe and efficient maintenance.
  • Contribute to the development of new standardization options, quality improvements, or process optimizations.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

About You

We're looking for an intrinsically motivated individual with a degree in Electronics and Instrument engineering or Electrical engineering, or a comparable educational qualification. You should have proven experience with Distributed Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, and SCADA systems, preferably with ABB or Siemens control systems. Familiarity with OPC, Profibus, and Modbus communication protocols is also essential. Ideally, you'll have 3-5 years of working experience and be willing to work across locations and countries.
