This program operates on a global scale, encompassing all three supply chain regions: North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. The primary goal is to enhance purchasing efficiency across the entire value chain, ultimately leading to improved financial outcomes for Vanderlande. This will be achieved through targeted savings initiatives, optimizations within specific supply chains, global standardization, and the establishment of a future-ready operational model.
Your position will involve assisting the program team dedicated to Purchasing with Impact, which includes a program manager overseeing daily operations. The program manager is supported by various workstream leaders, each responsible for distinct sub-areas within the overarching program. Throughout your assignment, you will engage in multiple initiatives across different program team members, collaborating with professionals from diverse backgrounds such as procurement, supply chain management, consultancy, and finance.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience with significant impact in a multinational organization. Vanderlande is transitioning from an engineering-to-order (ETO) model to a configure-to-order (CTO) approach. This shift is expected to generate synergies and economies of scale, delivering enhanced value to our customers through improved quality and competitive pricing. You will play a vital role in the program, contributing to the transformation of our purchasing organization to support the transition from ETO to CTO by achieving better pricing and lead times.
Key ResponsibilitiesThis student assignment will focus on assisting the program team in achieving their objectives across various workstreams, which may include workshop facilitation and PMO-related activities concerning savings and cost tracking.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Managing, reporting, and consolidating key performance indicators (KPIs) across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
- Conducting data preparation, analysis, and insight development, along with managing reports on these insights.
- Performing Program Management Office duties, including creating general program communications and leading workshops in the Purchasing with Impact domain.
- Overseeing smaller digital projects, such as spend analytics dashboard creation and supplier delivery performance analytics.
Desired Skills:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI is essential; familiarity with Smartsheet and Jira is advantageous.
- Interpersonal Skills: Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach are crucial.
- Minimum assignment duration of 3 months.
- Work hours ranging from 32 to 40 hours per week.
- Hourly compensation of €15.
- 10% holiday hours.
- 8.33% holiday allowance.
- Weekly payment through Olympia.
