About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operational Controller to join our team at DB Schenker. As an Operational Controller, you will play a key role in streamlining our finance processes and ensuring a good structure and process in our controlling division.
Key Responsibilities
- Streamline finance processes and ensure a good structure and process in our controlling division
- Lead our controlling division and take on leadership tasks
- Oversee financial operations, ensure accuracy in reporting, and contribute to process improvement
- Work closely with colleagues in operations and administration and continuously improve financial handling processes
- Coordinate month-end closing in collaboration with different stakeholders of the Business Unit Air NL
- Act as a sparring partner for management
- Manage and monitor cost control and operational accounting
- Analyze financial results against established budgets and draw up plans to improve financial results and monitor progress
- Develop and prepare periodic reports on operational volumes and activities, performance, KPIs, and quality and actively come up with proposals for improvement
Requirements
Your Profile:
- Completed a university education in the direction of business economics/accountancy or similar
- Proven experience as a (junior) operational controller, preferably within logistics or transport industry
- First experience in leading a team
- Great sense of responsibility, integrity, and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
- Good command of the Dutch and English language both in word and writing
