Offshore Wind Consent Manager

Vattenfall is seeking a highly skilled Consent Manager to join its Offshore Consenting team in the Netherlands. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in enabling the company's offshore wind projects in the Netherlands.
The successful candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for coordinating and problem-solving within the organization, working closely with different teams and disciplines. Additionally, you will be a key contact person externally towards authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze consenting requirements, risks, and opportunities to support project selection.
- Deliver and implement a consenting strategy in development projects to support bid preparation.
- Obtain consent by understanding, anticipating, and communicating applicable permits, laws, and regulations.
- Ensure timely application for and receipt of permits needed to ensure projects run smoothly.
- Enable consent compliance by actively tracking and managing permit requirements and commitments.
- Engage with and report to permitting authorities as required or beneficial to the project.
- Monitor and anticipate regulatory developments with a potential impact on permits.
- Contribute to regulatory developments directly through consultations, or via industry associations or interest groups.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in renewable energy, environmental science, sustainability, spatial planning, public administration, or a relevant field.
- Knowledge of (offshore) environmental and spatial planning regulations.
- Relevant professional experience (min. 3-5 years) in permit management for offshore wind projects in the Netherlands in a developer, governmental, or consultant role.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Dutch (native or near-native) and English (full working proficiency).
