About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Market Risk Professional to join our team at ING. As a key member of our Market Risk Management team, you will be responsible for managing a significant portion of our balance sheet, contributing to around one-third of our overall P&L.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of assets and liabilities worth approximately EUR 150-180 billion, hedging our interest rate and liquidity risks in close cooperation with the ING Group Treasury department.
- Monitor and model client behavior, identifying emerging trends and advising on product and pricing decisions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including CRO NL divisions, Finance, and Group Treasury, to ensure effective risk management and alignment with business objectives.
- Participate in the migration of ING NL to QRM for the monthly hedging process and the migration of our mortgages administration to STATER.
Requirements
- Academic degree in Econometrics or other quantitative studies, such as Mathematics, Engineering, or Physics.
- Completed additional professional qualifications in financial risk management, such as CFA or FRM.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in the financial sector, preferably in banking, insurance, or consulting.
- Extensive knowledge of financial risk management, relevant regulations, and modeling and hedging techniques.
- Experience with behavioral ALM models, such as prepayment and non-maturing deposit modeling.
- Excellent analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to challenge the status quo.
- Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.
