Salary
The estimated salary for this position is €120,000 - €180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job Description
As a valued member of Optiver Holding's Group Legal team, you will report directly to the Group Head of Legal and collaborate closely with various departments within Optiver Holding, including Group Compliance, Group Finance, Group Risk, and Group Tax.
You will maintain strong connections with Legal teams worldwide and engage with pertinent departments within local business units.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will encompass providing legal counsel on all pertinent legal aspects related to the roles and activities of Optiver Holding, as well as those impacting the global scope of the Optiver Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offering guidance on financial law matters concerning Optiver Holding, including but not limited to the Dutch Financial Supervision Act (Wft), Investment Firm Directive (IFD), Investment Firm Regulation (IFR), and associated global regulations.
- Advising on regulatory issues relevant to the Optiver Group and its worldwide operations.
- Monitoring and aiding in the implementation of changes in rules and regulations pertinent to Optiver Holding and the Optiver Group as a whole.
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various types of (global) contracts and related documents.
- Assisting the Group Legal team in other corporate law or employment law matters as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- An academic degree in Dutch or European Law.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably with a background in an international law firm and expertise in financial law.
- A versatile, detail-focused, practical, proactive, assertive, and results-oriented individual with a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
- Exceptional ability to translate business needs into legal solutions.
- Proficiency in drafting and negotiating contracts of the highest quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A collaborative team player with a good sense of humour.
