Financial Controller

Picnic is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to oversee financial control and reporting for our French market. Based in our Amsterdam headquarters, this role offers a unique opportunity to grow with Picnic as the business landscape evolves.
You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing periodic P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements of Picnic France. You will also interact with various business teams and provide them with financial insights on a weekly and periodic basis.
As a Financial Controller, you will lead a team of two Finance colleagues and be responsible for leading the annual audit of France and coordinating the monthly tax reporting. You will also independently deal with day-to-day interactions with strategic suppliers for Picnic France.
Requirements:
- A relevant master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Econometrics
- 6-8 years of experience in a Finance role, preferably as a Financial Controller or as a Manager in Financial Audit
- A proactive, nothing-is-impossible mindset
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent Excel and data analysis skills
- All-round technical accounting skills
- A keen interest in ERP systems, controls, and accounting processes
- Fluency in English and French, both verbal and written; Dutch is a plus
- Knowledge of French taxation and legal frameworks, or a willingness to learn
