About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Yacht. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Yacht in a fair, genuine, and trustworthy manner, contributing to positive, energizing, and rewarding environments for all colleagues.
  • Apply stakeholder management with other Yacht facilities, functional leaders, and colleagues to contribute ideas, vision, energy, and passion.
  • Ensure that customers receive products that meet or exceed their expectations.
  • Use problem-solving techniques and work habits to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Deploy data-driven decisions.
  • Participate in the material review board and provide quality input into dispelling discrepant materials and products.
  • Complete documentation, including Discrepant Product Dispositions (DPD's).
  • Support production and resolve issues regarding Statistical Process Control (SPC), discrepant material, issue containment, and resolution activities.
  • Check incoming components on quality and review inspection reports.
  • Perform outgoing quality checks for outgoing products.
  • Take care of Engineering changes and Corrective and Preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Develop continuous improvement plans and apply quality tools and methods like Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Participate in New Product Development teams, provide product development deliverables as assigned, and participate in project gate review activities.
  • Act as the contact person regarding supplier development, and quality issues for clients and suppliers, and initiate, prepare, and review items such as 8D reports.
  • Cooperate with the metrology lab to determine measurement methods and access and correct measurement correlation issues.
  • Prepare and conduct Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R) and apply Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical/Industrial Engineering preferred).
  • Minimum of two years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing organization.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Experience in applying quality tools and methods such as PFMEA, Process Control Plans, Measurement Systems Analysis, which includes Gage R&R studies.
  • Working knowledge of any ISO9001-based Quality Management System, including ISO9001, International Automotive Task Force (IATF and ISO13485.
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with SPC and related software.
  • Understanding of sampling plan methodologies.
  • Ability to live in the Netherlands and speak and write the Dutch language.
  • Able to lift 25 lbs. when needed.
  • Able to work in a manufacturing and office setting.
  • Business-related travel as required; within Europe (2-3 business trips/year) and international (1 business trip/year).
