At Hotel Okura Amsterdam, we are seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Porter-Doorman. As a key member of our Front Office department, you will be responsible for ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner during their stay at Hotel Okura Amsterdam.
  • Ensure hotel standards are met with regards to service.
  • Get familiar with individual wishes of our regular guests and VIPs.
  • Advise guests on activities within Amsterdam during their stay.
  • Assist guests to their rooms and inform them about the room, facilities, and Amsterdam.
  • Organize transportation, taxi, and parking.
  • Ensure a clean lobby and outside area.
What We Offer:
  • Contract: 1 year with the possibility of extending.
  • Salary: Group 3.
  • Bonus: 1 week salary if SMART goals are met.
  • 8% holiday allowance (pro rata).
  • 25 vacation days per year (pro rata).
  • Compensation for National Holidays.
  • Horeca CAO applies.
  • General Pension Scheme of Hospitality and Catering.
  • General Survivors pension.
  • Attractive family and friends rates on overnight stays at Hotel Okura Amsterdam.
  • Once a year staff discount in one of the restaurants (50%).
  • Staff discount in our restaurants (20%).
  • Contribution to travel expenses from 10 km (one way).
  • After obtaining the probationary period, you will receive an overnight stay with breakfast as a gift (2 people).
Requirements:
  • You are representable and service-minded.
  • You are well aware of the possibilities and attractions of Amsterdam.
  • You have relevant work experience within a similar position in a similar organisation, preferably in the luxury segment.
  • You are excellent in Dutch and English (oral and written).
  • You have a valid driving license.
  • You are flexible in regards to working hours.
