About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team in the Netherlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting, developing, automating, testing, and maintaining our cutting-edge software infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the availability of all developed and managed services.
  • Support Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) of Pax8 services, including disaster recovery and continuity.
  • Manage and maintain the security and access controls for supported services.
  • Establish operational monitoring and performance metrics for managed and AWS resources.
  • Mentor junior-level DevOps team members and Development Engineers.

Requirements

  • Substantial years of experience supporting application development, preferably microservices and a Java-based web platform.
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages, such as Python, Bash, Java, Golang, or JavaScript.
  • Experience implementing new projects using AWS services, such as EKS, MSK, ElastiCache, ElasticSearch, and RDS.
  • Experience with networking principles and technologies using AWS technologies, such as ALBs, security groups, VPC networking, and basic containerized networking principles.
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management using Terraform and Git.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, such as using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins.
  • Experience with monitoring tools, such as SumoLogic, CloudWatch, Honeycomb, or Grafana.
  • Experience with database administration, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies using tools, such as Jira, Lean Kit, Rally, or similar.

  • Annual gross salary ranging between €50,000 up to €80,000 depending on level and experience.
