Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Engineer to join our team at ASML. In this role, you will be responsible for developing cost engineering databases, processes, and tools.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in cost estimating. You will work closely with program managers and project managers to develop initial project budgets and provide cost advice throughout the project lifecycle.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cost databases, processes, and tools
  • Collaborate with project teams to implement cost control measures
  • Assess and advise on cost estimates received from contractors and engineering firms
  • Support the CRE project manager and procurement manager in defining RFQs and negotiations with contractors
  • Prepare milestone schedules and budget estimates
  • Involvement in cost risk analyses, benchmarks, and cost reduction exercises
  • Monitor leading indicators and trends to provide early warning of opportunities and threats to project managers and directors
  • Liaise with CRE project controllers for financial reporting
  • Coordinate future cost consultants as needed
  • Maintain overall monthly project cost reports and forecasts in close cooperation with the CRE project controller
  • Maintain schedule oversight on different programs within CRE, understanding and tracking interconnecting milestones and constraints
  • Support implementation of target value delivery during estimation phases
  • Support project financial close-out requirements including asset definition and valuation
  • Value engineering and value management
  • Affinity or knowledge with both civil and utilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in an engineering discipline (with Business Administration preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years' project engineering experience with both client and engineering design organization
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in cost estimating
  • Prior experience with facilities for high-tech industries preferred
  • Experience balancing and organizing multiple projects or assignments
  • Strong IT and data skills, including MS Project and Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of progress measurement methods and understanding of earned value system
  • Open mindset, willingness to do more with data
  • Ability to present technical information in simple, non-technical terms
  • Well-organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined, and commercially astute
  • Team player with a 'can-do' attitude
  • Self-starter

Salary

$120,000 - $150,000 per year
