Scientist - R&D Innovator

Drive Innovation in Acrylics and Urethane Technology

Covestro is seeking a skilled Scientist to join our R&D team in Waalwijk. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of innovative products and solutions in the field of Acrylics, Urethane/Acrylic Hybrids & Additives technology.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and scale up new products and technology concepts based on market needs, aligning with innovation roadmaps.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure successful scale-up of products in the pilot plant.
- Work closely with a team of R&D specialists, including scientists and lab technicians, and provide scientific guidance/supervision and coaching.

Requirements:

- Master's or Ph.D. in Chemistry or Material Science with a solid background in customer-driven R&D projects.
- Over 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in Acrylic or Urethane/ Acrylic dispersions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges in a dynamic customer-driven organization.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
