Physics and Mathematics Internship: Vacuum System Machine Data Analysis

Introduction
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team at ASML. As a Physics and Mathematics Intern, you will be working on a project that involves analyzing machine data from our vacuum systems. Your primary responsibility will be to develop software tooling to integrate statistical process control of vacuum systems machine data and signals.
Background
The Machine Conditioning Defectivity & OLT department at ASML develops and implements solutions to protect the optical column, reticles, and wafers within the scanner. Our team has the knowledge to specify, model, design, and test gas flow-systems and their behavior under sub-atmospheric conditions in the EUV scanner.
Your Assignment
As a Physics and Mathematics Intern, you will be working on a project that involves analyzing machine data from our vacuum systems. Your primary responsibility will be to develop software tooling to integrate statistical process control of vacuum systems machine data and signals. This will involve building software tooling to integrate statistical process control of vacuum systems machine data and signals, and collaborating with corresponding hardware owners to link outliers and trends to possible failure modes and physical processes.
Your Profile
To be a great match for this role, you should have a strong background in Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or (Applied) Physics. You should also have proficiency in Python scripting, MATLAB programming, and statistics. Additionally, you should be a team player with a creative mindset, a can-do attitude, and strong analytical skills.
Requirements
This internship is for a minimum of 6 months, starting in September 2024. You will be working full-time (40 hours per week) and will be required to be located in the Netherlands. If you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, you will need to be willing to relocate.
