Description

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team at European Dynamics in The Hague, Netherlands. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that closely cooperates with a major client's IT team on site.

Your tasks:

  • Install, configure, and administer applications in production and non-production environments, as well as monitor performance, tune, and continuously improve efficiency and quality of service.
  • Perform applications support and maintenance activities, including incident, change, release, and problem resolution.
  • Write and validate application procedures manuals, including troubleshooting guides, backup, and restore plans.
  • Automate administrative procedures for recurring system administration activities and provide installation and technical support documentation.
  • Contribute to the structuring, maintenance, and development of the technical knowledgebase supporting ICT infrastructure operations activities and report on application availability, performance, capacity, and overall usage.

Requirements

  • University degree in IT combined with up to 6 years of IT professional experience in large IT infrastructure environments, including deployment, support, and maintenance of applications.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working as an IT professional in the area of application administration, as well as working with Enterprise Microsoft or Linux server solutions.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with relational databases, especially from an application troubleshooting perspective, such as MS SQL and PostgreSQL.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with micro-services, container orchestration, and container-based stacks such as Docker or Kubernetes combined with experience in installing and supporting Elasticsearch solutions.
  • Good knowledge of DevOps or automation scripting as well as Shell scripting (Linux or PowerShell), automation, and deployment tools.
  • Good knowledge of incident, change, and release management.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
