Role Overview:
We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our Finance Division. This position is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across our European operations.
As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring high-quality financial reporting, and supporting the accounting team with your expertise. Your role will encompass both Financial Accounting under Japanese GAAP and IFRS, addressing the reporting needs of our various offices across Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of financial accounting and reporting under JGAAP and IFRS.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial closing processes.
- Collaborate with international teams to fulfill reporting requirements.
- Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports for management.
- Maintain the integrity of the General Ledger and ensure compliance with SOX regulations.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to their professional development.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A Master’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration.
- At least 6 years of experience in financial accounting or reporting, preferably within the banking sector.
- Proficiency in multi-GAAP environments and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to professional excellence.
