We are seeking a skilled Solar Energy Engineer to join our team at Oceans of Energy B.V. in the Netherlands.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and executing offshore solar farm projects, working closely with the design and engineering teams to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery.

This role involves building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, as well as external partners such as suppliers and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and plan marine/offshore operations, including towing, anchor installation, hook-up campaigns, and power cable installations.
  • Technical Expertise: Analyze and prepare project specifications, write and review technical documentation, estimate materials, and direct designers and draftsmen on drawing requirements.
  • Business Development Support: Provide support to the Business Development department in tendering and subsidy requests, preparing method and execution statements.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Design and Engineering experts to resolve project technical issues for the Customer and Project Manager.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (preferred), or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience (1-3 years) in project engineering, preferably in the renewable energy sector with exposure to offshore installations.
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, both independently and as part of a team.
