SBM Offshore is seeking a skilled Category Manager to join our team. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies to drive business growth and improve competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement category strategies to increase SBM's competitiveness and drive business growth.
- Manage strategically important vendors and ensure efficient global sourcing of key equipment.
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders to assess vendor capabilities and suitability for SBM's Product Lines.
- Lead the preparation and finalization of deliverables associated with category strategy, including Approved Vendor Lists and Framework Agreements.
- Define category performance objectives and translate them into vendor management and strategic sourcing objectives.
- Monitor and report category KPIs, including savings and spend under Group Framework Agreements.
- 15 years of experience in Piping Procurement role in EPCI company or Sales engineer/Project Manager at Vendors.
- Strong knowledge of European and Chinese market.
- Full understanding of O&G Technical Standards for critical steel grades.
- Commercial profile, negotiator, and contractual negotiation skills.
