PLC Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking a skilled PLC Commissioning Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for modifying and testing PLC programs, commissioning machine lines, and providing technical support.

Job Description

As a PLC Commissioning Engineer, you will work on technical solutions within the Agro & Food sector. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Modifying and testing PLC programs to ensure optimal performance
  • Commissioning machine lines at customer sites worldwide, ensuring seamless integration and efficient operation
  • Providing technical support, both on-site and remotely, to resolve issues and improve system reliability
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement optimal PLC programming solutions
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues on-site, utilizing your expertise and problem-solving skills
  • Maintaining strong customer relationships as a technical contact, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded
  • Traveling to customer locations, both nationally and internationally, to support commissioning and maintenance activities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A completed MBO or HBO degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
  • Experience in PLC programming, with a strong understanding of programming languages and software
  • Knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal, with the ability to develop and implement complex programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers
  • Good command of Dutch and English, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively
  • Willingness to travel for work, with a flexible attitude and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
