About the Role

Hunkemöller is seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Assistant to support our merchandising team in achieving our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the merchandiser to set up quarterly budgets and track trade reports.
  • Manage and analyze product size ratios to optimize inventory levels.
  • Review forward commitment and highlight opportunities and risks to the merchandiser.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and negotiate shifts and delivery dates.
  • Allocate products to all NOS and repeat lines, and track intakes and DC stocks.
  • Support 3rd parties on their buys and extra demands, and review commitment and best/worst sellers.
  • Manage slow sellers and recommend stock transfers out.
  • Run and analyze performance of each buying quarter, and review and recommend changes to new buying quarters.
  • Understand sales and profit plans, and identify and cost markdown recommendations.
  • Make country analysis and run weekly Monday trading reports.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of retail and/or merchandising experience within a fashion retailer.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of business analytical tools, intermediate/advanced Excel skills, and very good English language skills.
  • Self-confidence, passion for retail and merchandising, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
