About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our GreenWave Team at Schiphol Group. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in creating a seamless and predictable passenger flow without any waiting times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Product Owner and the rest of the team to translate business problems into sustainable data science solutions.
  • Conduct experimentation to improve suggestions for timeslots and extend the algorithm to include other parts of the Schiphol passenger journey.
  • Work with various datasets to implement models in a highly complex environment.
  • Take ownership of getting a project from Proof of Concept to implementation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience as a data scientist using Python.
  • Experience in going beyond modeling and prototyping, with a focus on implementation.
  • Pro-active team player with attention to detail.
  • MSc or PhD in a relevant field, such as mathematics, physics, computer science, operations research, or econometrics.
  • Communicative skills: fluent in English is a must, knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
  • Ideal experience in Databricks/Azure, Openshift/Kubernetes, and causal inference.
What We Offer
  • € 4744 to € 6582 gross per month (Schaal 12).
  • The possibility to work 4 x 9 hours in a 36-hour work week.
