We are seeking a skilled Operational Buyer to join our team at GKN Aerospace. As a key member of our procurement operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of procured parts and managing supplier performance in line with our business requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage supplier scheduling and ensure accurate data within our MRP system to minimize shortages and eliminate unwanted inventory.
- Monitor and maintain supplier promise dates to ensure up-to-date and accurate information is held within the supplier schedules.
- Contribute to the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and support the Procurement Operations Manager or Site Procurement Manager in external supply reviews.
- Identify and escalate supply risks, constraints, and bottlenecks to ensure timely delivery of procured parts.
- Maintain external capacity reviews in line with our Manufacturing Planning System (MPS).
- Responsible for ongoing supplier performance improvement and ensuring adherence to standard procurement processes.
- Daily communication with internal customers and receiving areas to ensure smooth operations.
- Degree-qualified or 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management/Procurement roles.
- IT literacy, especially Excel.
- Degree-qualified in Business Administration.
- Nevi 1/MCIPS qualification.
- MRP proficiency.
