Capital Projects Director for Cell Therapy Facility

Bristol Myers Squibb, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking an experienced Capital Projects Director to lead the site capital project processes for our new cell therapy facility in The Netherlands. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the strategy vision of our Cell Therapy Facility and play a critical role in delivering innovative medicines to patients suffering from blood cancer.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of capital projects, including equipment, productivity, and capacity upgrades, facility renovations, and infrastructure upgrades to support the commercial manufacturing of cell therapy products. Key responsibilities include:

  • Site responsibility for coordination of all Capital and Expense project selection, justification, and delivery, ensuring alignment with business needs;
  • Directing and monitoring project cost determination and overseeing the preparation and management of Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR);
  • Pursuing and implementing novel project solutions, new technologies, and methodologies with operational SMEs to meet business needs;
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements through collaboration with F&E SMEs;
  • Delivering CAPEX and Expense Project Portfolio;
  • Selecting and managing a contingent workforce to ensure the right competency mix for a complex and changing project portfolio.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should have:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in relevant project management experience;
  • Experience in GMP environment and a proven track record of delivering projects in pharmaceutical/biotechnology manufacturing settings;
  • Project Management Professional certification preferred;
  • Experience leading a small team of professionals;
  • Proficiency in SAP and budgeting tools.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary ranging between €80,000 - €120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
