Position Overview

As an IT Internal Auditor, you will play a crucial role within the Internal Audit department at TomTom. Your responsibilities will include enhancing essential business processes, especially those involving technology, and assessing relevant governance and compliance issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct IT Audits: Perform technology-related audits and communicate findings to management.
  • Develop Audit Roadmap: Lead an Internal Audit strategy that provides valuable insights into our technology operations, including software development, data privacy, and cybersecurity.
  • Report Preparation: Ensure timely planning and deliver high-quality, comprehensible reports from the Internal Audit team, engage with management on findings, and ensure prompt follow-up on action items.
  • Risk Management Coordination: Collaborate with other risk advisory functions within the organization to maintain a holistic view of risk management.
  • External Relations Management: Oversee relationships with external entities interacting with the Internal Audit team, such as external auditors and quality reviewers.
  • Corporate Project Participation: Contribute to significant corporate initiatives from an Internal Audit perspective.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or Computer Science, or 5+ years of equivalent experience in Software Engineering.
  • Experience in IT or operational auditing within a professional services firm or internal audit function.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A process-oriented, problem-solving mindset.
  • Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in complex technology environments.
  • Background in the software and services industry.
  • Understanding of software engineering principles.
  • CISA certification.
