About the Role

The Senior Accountant - Inventory will be a subject matter expert for inventory accounting and analysis within the EMEA region. Responsibilities include owning EMEA inventory accounting processes, analysis, and reporting, including external and BSC global warehouse, and consignment inventory. The role requires a solid business partner and subject matter expert, with other finance teams, supply chain management, divisional financial planning & analyses, business controls, and multi-region GBS teams. The Senior Accountant will drive behavior and influence stakeholders across the region, identify and implement process improvements and standardizations, and apply LEAN methodologies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

* Be a solid business partner and subject matter expert with other finance teams, supply chain management, divisional financial planning & analyses, business controls, and multi-region GBS teams.
* Own EMEA inventory accounting processes, analysis, and reporting, including external and BSC global warehouse, and consignment inventory.
* Own and safeguard key SOX controls related to inventory and cost of goods sold accounting.
* Execute month/quarter/year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate close and financial reports preparation.
* Identify and implement process improvements and standardizations.
* Apply LEAN methodologies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.

Requirements

* Bachelor Financial accounting or Business Economics
* 5+ years relevant experience
* SAP experience, additional automation capabilities are a plus
* Fluent in English, additional language capabilities are a plus
* DE&I minded individual
* Strong verbal & written communication skills and focus on building relationships
* Self-motivated yet team player and takes ownership in all responsibilities
* Change agent that focuses on a high level of quality
* Continuous Improvement and analytical mindset
