Join Damen Naval, a global leader in naval shipbuilding, and contribute to the development of advanced naval vessels. As a Senior Systems Integration Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful integration of joinery and technical systems on our vessels.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated engineer with a specialization in Joinery of Accommodation and Technical Spaces. In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for transforming design concepts into precise technical specifications, overseeing the engineering process, and maintaining compliance with stringent quality standards.

  • Develop functional technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors based on customer and design requirements.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to select suitable materials and suppliers for accommodation joinery and insulation.
  • Support quality inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure finished joinery meets required standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the production team, resolving any issues that arise during the project.
  • Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of joinery works with other ship systems.

To excel as a Senior Systems Integration Engineer, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Bachelor degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Civil Architecture, or related field.
  • Proven experience as Technical Specification Engineer or similar role, focusing on joinery works in the maritime industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex engineering data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, and knowledge of German is a significant advantage.
