Product Engineering Director

About the Role
As a Product Engineering Director at Bugaboo, you will lead the Product Engineering NCD/NPD and PMO team in Amsterdam to ensure new products meet specifications, quality, compliance, and sustainability standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Excellence: Deliver products on time, within budget, and in compliance with all standards.
- Manage Resources: Allocate resources effectively, plan for future capacity, and manage the Product Development budget.
- Lead the Team: Engage, motivate, inspire, and coach team members to achieve goals and manage stakeholders.
- Develop and Implement Roadmaps: Manage competence matrices, drive capability development, and contribute to the execution of the global Bugaboo innovation and operations strategy.
- Drive Efficiency: Implement agile techniques to speed time-to-market and steer continuous improvement.
- Direct Project Execution: Manage PMO direction, coordination, and execution of concept and product development projects.
Requirements
- Mechanical/Industrial Engineering background preferred, or extensive leadership experience in Engineering, Design, or Innovation teams.
- Deep understanding of product development, engineering, manufacturing processes, and quality management systems.
- Leadership in long-term product development projects and innovation programs.
- Knowledge of modern manufacturing practices like Lean and Six Sigma.
- Business sensitivity: Skilled in navigating cultural and methodological differences in business.
- Experience in Project Management Processes and Project Lifecycle Management.
- Strong track record in Product Development within innovative, design-driven environments.
