About the Role

InsingerGilissen, a leading private bank in the wealth management sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join its team. As a key member of the Group Legal Team, you will provide state-of-the-art legal advice on a broad range of topics within private banking, investment fund solutions, and financial intermediary services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice on financial intermediary services, investment fund solutions, and regulatory matters
  • Draft, negotiate, and review agreements related to the above-mentioned areas
  • Implement regulatory and legal changes into the relevant legal framework
  • Manage the legal aspects of regulatory or strategic projects
  • Identify, manage, and escalate legal risk as appropriate
  • Instruct and manage external counsel where needed
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders to demonstrate the value of having a lawyer involved in key matters
  • Manage own workload in line with defined priorities
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Dutch qualified lawyer with financial services experience in the Netherlands
  • Deep knowledge of Dutch banking laws and regulations
  • Knowledge and experience of advising on DNB / AFM regulatory framework
  • Excellent technical drafting skills
  • Willingness to get into the Luxembourg legal framework with respect to financial intermediaries and investment fund solutions

Technical Skills
  • Qualified lawyer (ideally with bar admission)
  • Postgraduate qualification (e.g. L.L.M.)
  • Relevant professional experience in law firms and/or in the financial sector industry
Languages
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of French or German is an asset
