We are seeking a Cloud Engineer - Data Platform to join our team at Eneco. As a Cloud Engineer - Data Platform, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems.
You will work closely with a portfolio of digital product teams, understanding their product strategies, roadmaps, and operational requirements. You will design operating models, from risk modeling and business impacts, to release, support processes, and SLAs. You will deploy, automate, and operate critical pieces of cloud infrastructure.
You will also showcase and raise awareness about the SRE ways of working within your business vertical. Additionally, you will contribute to the community of Cloud, Platform, and Site Reliability Engineers across Eneco, defining best practices, authoring inner-source code repositories, assessing new technologies, and evaluating the adequacy of our ways of working.
We are looking for a candidate with at least 5 years of software engineering experience in digital product organizations, making an impact as an individual contributor. You should have expertise in cloud engineering, networking, software security, release, and operations management. Significant exposure to large public clouds, ideally Azure, is also required.
Additionally, you should have mastery of Kubernetes and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible). Excellent software engineering skills and a practitioner of agile software development are also essential. A high level of initiative and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment are necessary.
You will be responsible for cloud architecture, release management, operational excellence, monitoring, and capacity planning. You will also mentor engineers across the organization, providing technical guidance, pair programming, code reviews, and sharing best practices.
As a Cloud Engineer - Data Platform, you will work closely with cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, analysts, product managers, and business stakeholders. You will effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and facilitate knowledge sharing.
We are committed to helping you grow and develop in your career. We offer a gross annual salary between €79,000 and €108,000, including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on your role, a bonus or collective profit sharing. You will also have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, with 40% of your time spent at the office and 40% at home, with the remaining days flexible to suit your needs.
