Process Development Engineer

Are you a skilled engineer with a passion for process development and leadership? We are seeking a talented Process Development Engineer to join our Cellulosic Derivatives Technology team in Deventer.
As a Process Development Engineer, you will be responsible for driving process improvements in our global Cellulose Ethers plants and managing capacity expansion and cost productivity investments (CAPEX) projects. You will also participate in commissioning and start-up of these plants to realize growth projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as project leader/manager in initiation and study phase of medium-sized multi-disciplinary technology projects and investment projects in an international context.
- Providing high-level cost estimates for potential growth projects and taking the lead in commissioning and start-up of new or optimized plant (sections) under time pressure in 24/7 complex production environment.
- Acting as technology licensor and/or lead process engineer in capex projects and actively pursuing and participating in improving current technologies and identifying new technologies.
- Participating as process engineer in Hazard Studies.
We believe you bring:
- A master's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of operational plant experience.
- Knowledge on process design and the execution.
- Experienced in participation as process engineer in capex projects.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Fluency in English.
We offer:
- A permanent contract with a probationary period of 2 months.
- A gross basic annual salary including holiday allowance based on your knowledge and experience between EUR 65,112 and EUR 98,247.
- 25 vacation days + 10 leave days.

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, based in Deventer. You need to be willing to travel for the job when needed, up to 40% of the time, with trips of one or two weeks.
