Bartender Extraordinaire

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mixology Expert to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our Bar and Food team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

Main Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the Head Bartender and be responsible for the daily operations at our W Lounge.
• Be an expert in cocktails and know all the ins and outs of our cocktail menu, as well as be comfortable whipping up new ones on the fly.
• Welcoming and helping guests, making suggestions for cocktails they didn't even know they loved, and suggesting food pairing.
• Ensure you are following service standards and operating procedures from the beginning to the end of each order and interaction.
• Show guests our Whatever/Whenever service while they are with us, and connect with them to be able to personalize that service, creating memorable experiences.
• Make sure everything sparkles, we all enjoy a clean environment.
• You will be on rotating shifts. Weekends are busiest, as well as evening/nights, so expect to be on shift then.
• Ensuring you are well prepared for the shift ahead of you, as well as your colleagues after you. Mise en Place will be your life saver.
• You will be working in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with loud music. Gotta love it.
• We are ALL-IN, and have more Bar and Food venues that we cooperate with. We expect you to be flexible to assist in other Bar and Food departments (In Room Dining and Banqueting).
• Communicating with your team and other departments is key. Couldn't live without them.
• Make sure you put the guests at the center of everything we do. Any task that is not mentioned in this list but that may create an unforgettable experience for our guests is on your to-do list.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one-year experience in the same or similar role.
• Fluency in English.
• Dutch and any other language is appreciated.
• Experience in the Luxury Segment is an advantage.
• Work Permit for The Netherlands is required.
