**Job Description:** As an **IT Infrastructure Specialist - Database Administration**, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day database administration tasks for various DBMSs, including Microsoft SQL Server, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the health and performance of these databases, as well as implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, patch, and upgrade database servers, management systems, and databases
  • Maintain database security and access control, enforcing data protection policies and procedures
  • Create and manage database backup plans, ensuring restorability and integrating with operating system-level backup systems
  • Monitor and optimize database performance using tools like SolarWinds DPA, assessing data access patterns and query plans to improve performance
  • Implement business continuity strategies, including high availability and disaster recovery solutions
  • Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages like PowerShell and Bash
  • Develop and implement DevOps pipelines for deploying database changes into production

**Requirements:** To succeed in this role, you should have at least 8 years of experience as an ICT consultant in large-scale enterprise environments, with a strong background in database administration. You should also possess a bachelor's degree and excellent communication skills. A working knowledge of English (B2 or higher) is mandatory.

**Desirable Qualifications:** Experience with technologies such as High Availability and Disaster Recovery, Clustering solutions, Data replication, Galera, MaxScale, WSFC, MongoDB, Cassandra, VMWare virtualization, Containerization with Kubernetes, Microsoft SQL Server, AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Business Intelligence solutions, and scripting languages like Puppet, AzureDevOps/TFS, FlyWay, Bash, and PowerShell would be highly beneficial.

**Estimated Salary:** The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from €60,000 to €90,000, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
