Position: Business Controller (1.0 FTE)
Vroon, headquartered in Breda, the Netherlands, employs around 1,400 professionals globally, supporting a diverse fleet of approximately 65 deep-sea and offshore vessels. Our operations span various subsidiaries and brand names, focusing on specialized fleets including product and high-heat tankers, livestock carriers, and emergency response vessels.
Our Breda office is home to approximately 95 dedicated staff members who contribute to the Company's success. The Controlling Department is integral as a Business Partner, continuously seeking avenues for enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be tasked with:
Collaborating with business units to drive achievement of both short- and long-term goals; Acting as a liaison between business and finance functions, providing independent insights that benefit the Company; Leading efforts to optimize processes, standardize reporting, and deliver insightful analyses to meet management information needs; Facilitating business review cycles; Engaging in business improvement initiatives and validating business cases; Identifying potential business and financial risks and opportunities; Conducting ad-hoc analyses and reporting; Steering the financial planning processes on a weekly, monthly, yearly, and long-term basis; Managing cash flow forecasting activities.You will report directly to the Group Controlling Manager.

We are seeking a candidate who possesses:
A Master’s degree or a Register Controller qualification; At least five years of experience in a similar role; Experience in an international context is preferred; Background in the maritime industry is advantageous; Proven expertise in financial and business control at various organizational levels; Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; A proactive and hands-on approach; Strong analytical capabilities; A critical yet pragmatic mindset; Ability to work independently while being a valuable team contributor; Ownership of tasks from inception to completion; Effective communication skills across multiple organizational levels.Note: Only candidates eligible to live and work in the Netherlands will be considered for this role.
