Survivability Expert for Naval Shipbuilding

About the Role:
Damen Naval is seeking a highly skilled Survivability Expert to join our team in designing and building advanced naval vessels. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of innovative solutions for naval ship survivability, leveraging the latest scientific research and advancements in materials and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement survivability designs for naval ships, considering various threats and challenges.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to integrate research findings into actual naval ship design.
- Apply advanced analysis methods and engineering tools to achieve research goals.
- Present results and conclusions to other departments and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Top-class Master student in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Aerospace engineering, or Naval Architecture.
- Strong passion for ships and shipbuilding, with a focus on naval ship survivability.
- Familiarity with hydrodynamics and ship structures, including fatigue, strength, ocean waves, and statistics.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and other relevant programming languages.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
