Quality Control Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Manager to join our Supply Chain department at HAZERA SEEDS BV. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of 16 direct reports, consisting of Lab Managers, Lab Coordinators, Lab Technicians, Research and Administration.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in Life Sciences or Agriculture, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role. They will be responsible for managing routine testing activities, monitoring reference documents, and managing personnel activities in the QC department.
The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical thinking and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and manage multiple internal stakeholders. They will also be fluent in Dutch and English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor routine testing activities in QC (NL Labs)
- Monitor and control reference documents; update protocols and operations with relevant changes
- Manage all personnel activities in QC department (16 colleagues)
- Manage work relations with other heads of departments in the company
- Manage relationship with Plant Protection Authorities and other authorities
- Responsible for Plant Protection and inspection services
- Communication with external laboratories and managing relations with other relevant laboratory suppliers
- Monitor the unit's budget
Requirements:
- MSc/PhD in Life Sciences or Agriculture
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role
- Excellent analytical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and manage multiple internal stakeholders
- Fluent in Dutch and English
