About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Specialist to join our team at ABB in Central Europe. As a key member of our Electrification Solutions team, you will be responsible for developing and executing effective communication strategies to support our local division growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement external thought leadership and social media communications strategies to elevate the position of Distribution Solutions locally and support the local division strategy.
  • Collaborate with the global division communications team to execute local Marketing Communications strategies and action plans to support the local division growth ambitions and strategy.
  • Develop and implement the annual internal communications plan according to the local division strategy, focusing on high-quality internal communication plans to support ongoing local business priorities.
  • Lead the local external customer communications and thought leadership editorial calendar, content, and storyline through all communication channels to establish coherent internal and external messaging and customer engagement along the buying funnel.
  • Ensure the positioning and impact of the local divisions' related content in local external and internal communications channels in support of the local division strategy, tracking and improving communications effectiveness across various media and channels.
  • Develop a robust communications network, seeking to promote and gain knowledge of current practices and innovation.
  • Partner with the local sales and marketing team on key campaigns, leading the Marketing communications side of it, including events and tradeshows, connecting the dots across Electrification as needed.
  • Collaborate with local business leaders and division communication team members globally, demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to lead by influence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, PR, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12+ years' experience in communications and marketing positions.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with experience executing lead and nurturing customer communications campaigns.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, with full professional proficiency in French.
  • Highly collaborative leader with experience managing outside vendors and building relationships.
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
  • Excellent analytical and time-management skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, with experience working with B2B companies, engineering, technology, sustainability, or energy.
