About the Role


We are looking for a skilled Project Estimator to join our team at Damen Shiprepair Vlissingen. As a Project Estimator, you will be responsible for creating estimates for the various shipyards of the Damen Shiprepair & Conversion group.



Your Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing estimates based on your own work or that of subcontractors, or a combination of both, for potential assignments;
  • Preparing cost price calculations for all types of ships, ranging from minor repairs to full conversions based on customer requirements;
  • Collaborating with various project-related departments to share/obtain necessary information between/from departments;
  • Working with the tender teams for large projects to develop a complete proposal;
  • Conducting inspections on-site of the object to be repaired/converted

Damen Shiprepair Vlissingen B.V. is located in Vlissingen-Oost and is part of the Damen Shiprepair & Conversion group. This group consists of 12 shipyards worldwide. Damen Shiprepair Vlissingen specializes in the maintenance, repair, and conversion of ships and other maritime objects.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor (MBO+/HBO) level of thinking & working;
  • Background in Naval Architecture, Maritime Officer, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable (technical) study and/or experience in these areas;
  • Knowledge of ship construction and repair techniques;
  • Knowledge of/experience with the estimation/sales process;
  • Analytical skills and a flexible attitude;
  • Verbal and written proficiency in English, and preferably some Dutch knowledge
