Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Ofi Cocoa in Koog Aan De Zaan. As a key member of our production facility, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular inspections of production facilities and utilities to identify potential issues.
  • Resolve reported failures of mechanical components and collaborate with Maintenance Engineers and colleagues to resolve issues.
  • Timely notify the MTD Chief or external experts when necessary.
  • Disassemble, assemble, and adjust equipment as required.
  • Develop proposals to improve technical situations and participate in projects to install new facilities.
  • Discuss progress, details, and problems with the supervisor and correct deviations in order execution or signal deficiencies.
  • Inform third-party and in-house fitters about work situations, details of production processes, procedures, and regulations.
  • Supervise, instruct, and monitor compliance with professional, quality, health & safety, environmental, and safety regulations.
  • Record relevant data on equipment and tool usage and maintenance.
  • Take initiatives and carry out improvement and overhaul work.
Requirements:
  • Technical education at MBO level or higher.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work accurately and independently.
