Precision Machinist

About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Precision Machinist to join our team at Orion Engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC milling machines to accurately machine complex parts according to technical drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Setting up and operating CNC milling machines
• Programming CNC milling machines to manufacture complex parts
• Ensuring quality and precision through interim measurements and making adjustments as needed
• Performing minor maintenance on machines and troubleshooting issues to ensure continuity
• Collaborating with the production team to optimize processes and contribute to improvement projects

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CNC milling specialist in a high-tech environment
• Experience in setting up, programming, and operating CNC milling machines
• Strong attention to detail and quality, with a solid understanding of measurement and inspection methods
• Technical insight and the ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and work instructions
• Independent and proactive work attitude, with a solution-oriented and precise approach
