Join Our Team as a Breakfast Chef

Hotel Okura Amsterdam is a world-renowned 5-star hotel, blending Eastern and Western influences in a unique cultural experience. We're seeking a skilled Breakfast Chef to enhance our culinary team and provide exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare breakfast dishes to the highest standards, adhering to recipes and planning.
  • Maintain the quality and freshness of ingredients, ensuring a consistent end product.
  • Work in line with the standards set by The Leading Hotels of the World.
  • Advise guests on breakfast choices and engage in guest contact.
  • Participate in maintaining good hygiene standards and cost control.
  • Receive, check, and store incoming inventory.
What We Offer:
  • 1-year contract with the possibility of extension.
  • Salary: Group 5, with a salary scale available for full-time employment.
  • Bonus: 1 week's salary when the hotel reaches the budgeted GOP level and a minimum total score of successful in the yearend evaluation.
  • 8% holiday allowance (pro rata); 25 vacation days per year (pro rata).
  • Compensation for National Holidays.
  • Horeca CAO applies.
  • General Pension Scheme of Hospitality and Catering.
  • General Survivors pension.
  • Attractive family and friends rates on overnight stays at Hotel Okura Amsterdam.
  • Staff discount in our restaurants (20%).
  • Contribution to travel expenses from 10 km (one way).
  • Study budget of €1,000.
  • Overnight stay with breakfast as a gift after obtaining the probationary period.
Requirements:
  • SVH or similar certification.
  • Creativity and ability to come up with new ideas.
  • Flexibility and independence as a worker.
  • Relevant work experience (1-2 years) in a reputable learning company.
  • Fluent English and/or Dutch (oral and written).
