Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Software Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the IT infrastructure for development, testing, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the physical IT infrastructure of our Systems lab, including networking, machine setup, and configuration.
- Extend the Systems Lab with new HW platforms under test.
- Collaborate with our IT professionals to enable correct access to our Systems lab.
- Perform initial testing of new software features as part of our regular release flow.
- Assist in the automation of our software product.
- Identify early customer-facing issues, help with analysis and debugging, and work closely with developers to facilitate resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvements.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in software engineering and software quality assurance.
- Assist engineers and multi-functional teams in lab setup and planning based on given space, power, and cooling capabilities.
- Setup, manage, and maintain test hardware systems, including debugging setup-related issues.
- Manage and maintain sufficient inventory of key equipment, including cables, connectors, and adapters.
- Occasionally assist development teams with manual testing as needed.
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience or qualifications up to a degree level of technical expertise.
- Basic IT system management experience.
- Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing, with a deep understanding of technical areas such as scripting tools, programming languages, and testing frameworks.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Basic IT system management experience.
- Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Experience with trouble-shooting computer and computer network-related issues.
- Using basic hand tools, multimeter, and other electronic tools.
- Familiarity with Linux.
- Familiarity with key networking concepts and configurations.
