Job Description

As a Financial Adviser in our Deepsea Shipping Lending Team Amsterdam, you will work closely with senior lenders to manage client-related lending transactions in Europe. Your role will involve origination and execution of deals, including pitching to clients, structuring transactions, and reviewing credit documentation.



You will also contribute to internal projects within the Shipping & Intermodal Lending department and monitor existing portfolios of debt transactions.



Our team consists of approximately 7 professionals focusing on Deepsea Shipping clients. We work collaboratively to ensure a balanced credit profile and sustainable growth.



Salary and Benefits

The gross monthly salary for this position is approximately €8,500, based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget. The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary, allowing you to acquire additional employment benefits.



In addition to your salary, you will receive:




  • A personal development budget of €1,000 per year, which can accumulate up to €3,000.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a finance specialist with former client-facing, risk management, or credit structuring experience. Your profile should include:




  • Educated to Master's degree level or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a client-facing role.
  • A positive mindset and a can-do mentality.
  • Commercial focus on results, fun, and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of international credit processes, including credit application, processing, and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with Deepsea Shipping markets is an asset.
  • Solid knowledge of Excel and other ICT applications supporting commercial processes.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality output.
  • Self-motivation with a willingness to learn and contribute to team performance and development.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time to the Head Office in Amsterdam.
  • Fluency in English.
