Underwriter E&C Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriter to join our team in Hoofddorp, Netherlands. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for assessing, proposing, and negotiating insurance conditions for large and midsize projects in various sectors, including power, manufacturing, infrastructure, building, and heavy civil works.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage risks for clients and brokers in the Nordic and Benelux regions.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies for the region, representing Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in meetings with brokers and clients.
- Contribute to the growth of associated lines of business by cross-selling capabilities and developing tailored solutions for clients.
- Support the existing book of business and expand it in the machinery breakdown segment and renewable energy segment.
Our Engineering & Construction team in Hoofddorp is a dynamic and experienced team of 6 Underwriters, with expertise in various construction markets, including renewable energy. We work closely with brokers and clients in the Nordics and Benelux regions, insuring projects and assets worldwide.
About YouWe are looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial individual with a strong background in engineering or a related field. You should have excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and manage a high workload. Proficiency in Dutch and English is required, with French being an advantage.
We offer a competitive salary range of EUR 51,000 to EUR 77,000 for the Junior Underwriter level and EUR 76,000 to EUR 114,000 for the Underwriter level, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus.
