The Senior Systems Engineer position at SiTime Corporation is responsible for leading the productization of the company's revolutionary MEMS-based timing products. The successful candidate will be responsible for verification and characterization planning, project coordination, mixed-signal characterization, systems/algorithms/firmware development, hardware and software infrastructure development for test automation, cross-functional interaction with MEMS/CMOS/Operations/Marketing, and prototyping of test and FA methodologies.

About the Role

  • Design and implement test automation to characterize and release into production a variety of MEMS based, mixed-signal timing devices.">
  • Plan and execute device verification and characterization.">
  • Develop and carry out experiments to prototype new technologies and system architectures.">
  • Mentor junior engineers in the team.">
  • Work with the team to design, develop, and validate PCB test platform and firmware to enable automated testing.">
  • Develop and transfer algorithms to final test and production environments.">
  • Support the bring-up of specialized programming systems overseas.">
  • Work with MEMS and circuit design teams to evaluate new silicon and specify design improvements for performance enhancements.">
  • Perform engineering failure analysis to root cause product issues.">

Requirements

  • ">
  • A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. A Ph.D. is preferred.">
  • At least 5 years of experience in the development and productization of MEMS or sensor-based devices.">
  • Experience creating and executing verification and characterization plans.">
  • Experience leading engineering project teams and achieving milestones.">
  • Fundamental knowledge and understanding of mixed-signal circuits.">
  • Excellent programming skills, including Python and MATLAB scripting.">
  • Hands-on experience with electronics laboratory bench instrumentation, including oscilloscopes and digital signal analyzers.">
  • Strong statistical analysis and problem-solving skills.">
  • High-level self-motivation and drive to make an impact.">
  • Programming ability in micro-controllers, C or C++, and SQL.">
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.">
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.">

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
